Michael Shanks, of Stargate fame, is taking up the roll of Hawkman in a 2 hour episode of Smallville. I’m not quite certain that he has all of the muscle and brawn expected from Hawkman, but he definitely has the looks. This will definitely add to the number of times that Jamie walks in and breaks my concentration by asking, “Who is he sleeping with?” (Side Note: He thinks that the rivalry between Lex and Clark Kent was all sexual tension).
In this upcoming episode (scheduled for February 5th), it has been hinted at that we will also see Dr. Fate, Stargirl, Martian Manhunter and Amanda Waller. I have always felt that there should be a spin-off from Smallville. I think the show is close to running its course; however, there is enough there that CW could create 1, 2, or even 3 more series.
Anyway, I will be looking for this episode, as I always enjoy when other characters have joined the Smallville DC Universe.
