I can’t say it enough, but my favorite cross-over series for the last few years have been the Green Lantern based stories. From the Sinestro Wars to the Blackest Night, I find myself following a host of characters that I had never thought that I would follow – or care about.
But what’s Next? What could DC possibly pull out during 2010 that would keep me reading about characters that I never paid any attention to growing up? What about:
- Return of Bruce Wayne – Did you know that he was lost in time and battling his way back? While I don’t know if I will be following his return, I will still be following the Batman and Robin series.
- War of the Supermen – With the Kryptonians from Kandor returned to human size and placed on another planet, it was only a matter of time before this exploded into something totally out of control. However, once again – I tried following the most recent Superman titles and did not find myself being pulled into all of the drama.
- Barry Allen’s Return to Flash – This one sounds great, but I just don’t know.
So what title has me pumped up? Another Green Lantern? The All-Star JSA? A little, but more so – the most recent post on DC Universe: The Source – The Rise and The Fall of the Green Arrow. Once again, like Green Lantern, who ever really cared about the Green Arrow?
Gut Feeling: DC is going to pull you in the same way that they did with Green Lantern, Sinestro and the entire Blackest Night.

Wait! Batman was thought dead, replaced by his former sidekick and it turns out that he was really lost in time? Grant Morrison has clearly been reading Brubaker’s Captain America.
