Kohl’s had an after-Christmas sale, and Jamie stormed out of the house Saturday morning with his mom to hit a few of them.
I opted to sleep in.
I had to wake up at 7:00 anyway, as we had tickets to the 8:15 AM showing of Avatar. Have I mentioned how totally awesome Avatar is?
Anyway….
When he got back from Kohl’s he pulled out 3 t-shirts that met two of my biggest criteria. First, they were on clearance. So he paid about $5 a shirt. Chaching! BONUS. I’m all about clearance buys. Second, they were all comic t-shirts. Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Batman. Too totally cool!
Awesome, awesome. Geek Gear!
What makes it even better? When Jamie and I first met (15 years ago), he made me throw away my only Batman t-shirt that I had. (It was a tad battered and beaten.) And, it is something that I have never let him forget. But after 15 years (and no longer worrying about my appearance), he replaced it with a new one.
Which goes to show you – you may try and hide the geek, but the geek is going nowhere.
