I went to two different movies over the last two days, and while both of them engaged me for the full 2+ hours, only one of them was an epic. The first one was Sherlock Holmes, and while I truly enjoyed the ‘bromance’ between Sherlock and Watson, the movie was a standard action packed adventure with great characters and Robert Downey. HOWEVER, the second movie was (like I said) an EPIC! There was a great story, romance, and wonderful universe. For the first time, in a long time, I felt like a kid again. I felt the wonder and excitement of all that is Avatar. Swept into another world, I realized that this was an immediate classic.
I don’t know who gave this movie a bad review or even why it may have gotten a bad review, but this movie, Avatar, comprises everything that a movie should offer. I don’t go to the movie theaters that much – these days, and I used to say it was the people that kept me away. Avatar proved me wrong. If there were more movies like this, I would be back every weekend.
