A part of my geek life that I really don’t get to enjoy these days is my old D&D half. Growing up, I spent entire weekends playing the game, building the dungeons, reading the books, and spending money on pieces of the game that I one day had to give up. (Sad story – don’t think that I ever told anyone.) About 15 years ago, I spent weekend nights with a group of gay friends playing a rather popular vampire role playing game. I was a catholic priest vampire. This is why a part of me still watches for the new board and/or role playing games that are constantly coming out on the market.
In some ways, I am so much of a gamer that I set up the original Risk game in my dorm room and played for hours — until I found a loophole that ensured that I won the game every time.
So what was the point of this entire post?
I spotted this game, and it looks like something I wouldn’t mind at least trying. I would love to buy the game, but to be honest, I would only want to play with a group of gay friends – and mayhap one (token) straight friend. Games change a lot when you get to be yourself.
