What am I reading?

by Zimm on February 22, 2010

Right now, I am hooked on several different crossovers, and while I was hoping that after these, things would slow down — they only look to be picking up.

  • Blackest Night – Great series.  Great story.  While I am interested in seeing how Hal Jordan will save the day, I am really interested in seeing the aftermath.  Who stays and who goes.  What are the final ramifications.
  • Siege - Pretty good story; however, it is l0oking to have some incredible battles.  This one is really about the battle and who survives.  I’m not so interested in the aftermath…..yet.  I am interested in seeing the Avengers (and a few others) really kicking some ass.
  • Fall of the Hulks – While I have never been a fan of the Hulk characters, I am getting pulled into this one.  It has a decent story and explanation as to what is happening; however, this is not a MUST read.  I am merely enjoying the storyline.

Looking forward to a few others.

  • Doomwar - Doom has always been one of my all-time favorite villains; however, I never thought that they made him ‘bad enough.’   With science, sorcery, a kingdom, robots, and a wicked intelligence to boot, the only thing that EVER should bring Dr. Doom down is his own arrogance.
  • X-Men Second Coming – Don’t know much here, but please, let us hope that they fix everything.  I haven’t enjoyed these characters for quite some time, and I really want to.

There are some other great books and stories out there, but these are the ones that got my attention.
